DRG is an SER Approved Certifier of Design (Building Structures).

This means that we can certify that the structural design of a building complies with Scottish building regulations and that we can include the required SER certificate with Building Warrant applications.
What is SER certification?

SER certification is required for compliance with the Building (Scotland) Regulations 2004 and applies to building work in Scotland. The aim of SER certification is to improve the structural safety of buildings and the scheme is run by Structural Engineers Registration Ltd (SER) on behalf of the Scottish Government’s Building Standards Division (BSD). As part of the scheme, individual engineers and engineering practices are approved to award SER certificates.

Why choose DRG for SER certification?

As an Approved Certifier under the scheme, we will make sure that all aspects of the design of a structure satisfy the requirements of the latest Scottish building regulations. We work with architects and engineering consultancies from across the UK to help achieve SER certification for projects in Scotland. Our multi-disciplinary team offer a prompt, professional service that will ensure your building project progresses through the design and planning process as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
