Senior or Chartered Structural Engineer with experience in the following sectors – Residential, Industrial and Commercial


  • Undertaking a wide variety of Civil and Structural projects for the above sectors.
  • Analysis & design of structures and prepare high quality, detailed technical drawings.
  • Liaise with clients, project teams and external consultants and coordinate responses to design team members and Local Authorities.
  • Carrying out structural inspections & reports on existing buildings and/or structures.
  • Site inspections & progress meetings.
  • Managing & assisting the design team within the office.
  • Other duties as required.


  • Demonstrate experience of Structural Engineering and managing the design/delivery of small to medium sized projects.
  • Experience in the use of industry software (e.g. TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, S-Frame) would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills and works well as part of a team.
  • Be enthusiastic, self motivated and proactive.
  • Have good attention to detail.
  • Hold a UK driving licence.


  • BEng, MEng or CEng and a member of the Institute of Civil or Structural Engineers.

SER Certifier

DRGCS has an opening for a part-time experienced SER Certifier to join the Stirling team to work on a variety of commercial and residential projects.

Individuals are required to be of Chartered Engineer status with either the Institution of Structural Engineers or the Institution of Civil Engineers. They are required to have a minimum of 5 years’ post-chartered experience and be an approved certifier of design, registered with the Structural Engineers Register Ltd.

The successful applicant will be expected to undertake SER Certification on all types of commercial and residential projects. Excellent communication skills will be required to allow effective teamworking with the technical design team and clients. A good understanding of building regulations, technical standards, design management and construction processes is essential to allow confident interacting with all of the design team.
